Winter growing annual that loves partial to full shade!  White or pinkish flowers appear in early spring, happy plants can continue to bloom into August. Ideal habitat is moist woodlands, but plants do ok with little water if they are shaded. A must-have for the woodland garden and will heartily re-seed. (mother plants from Benton County)

  • Direct sowing: Best sown in fall or early spring. Seeds germinate best in cooler temps.

Growing transplants: Seeds are not dormant, but benefit from exposure to cool temps (less than 50 degrees for 7 days) then germinate in temps between 60-65 degrees.
