Very unique looking plant with leathery feeling leaves. Large white clusters of flowers are a favorite of queen bumblebees. This drought tolerant plant completely disappears in fall and winter and re-emerges in the spring, it spreads slightly over time and is very long-lived.

  • Direct sowing: best sown in fall. Winter weather will degrade seed coat and the seeds will germinate in spring. 

  • Growing transplants: Seeds are not dormant, but benefit from scarifying. Seeds germinate in warm temperatures.
